WHY
Young homeless people have emerged in a digital era, equipped with the internet, social media accounts, and smartphones. Lacking family support, meaningful social connections, or the skills to seek aid, they find themselves uniquely vulnerable. Existing support systems for the homeless, administered by both government and private charitable organizations,
often fail to address this "new" form of homelessness.
While they offer crucial assistance such as free food and shelter, they do not adequately cater to the distinc needs of young homeless people – long-term psychological support and social engagement.
STORY
In the bustling streets of London, Dean, a young Irish man, navigates life with a hidden secret – he is homeless. He wears a facade of normalcy while nurturing dreams of restoring his family ties. Naïve and trusting, Dean's optimism shines through despite his irresponsible tendencies. With a plan to reclaim his ID, Dean's hopes soar that it will solve his woes. Yet, faced with unforeseen challenges, he finds himself unable to see it through. Desperate to maintain ties with family and spend Christmas with his girlfriend, he grapples with lingering childhood wounds amidst his journey.
